Unit Roster Hub

Units are the anime-inspired characters you roll, place, and (if you are disciplined) Grade. This hub is the roster layer of the wiki: how to think about keepers when More & More Games has not published a frozen codex. Combat roles do not apply. There are no lanes. A “tank” silhouette is a cash printer with extra polygons. Start with best units if you already have two rares fighting for Gems. Start with grades if you have Gems and no plan. Start with index and collection if the book icon is nagging you.

The official description asks you to collect rare characters and mutations, then climb leaderboards. That is the whole fantasy. The unit tier list translates it into pad priority.

What a unit is made of

Four fields matter:

  1. Rarity band — base cash. Explained on rarity value.
  2. Mutation — rare variant. Protect it on the mutations page and in traits and mutations.
  3. Trait — rerollable passive. Ranked on the traits tier list.
  4. Grade — Gem multiplier. This hub’s grades page.

If you only look at the face, you will keep Commons that resemble the banner art (pale armor, white hair, cyan aura) and vendor a plain-looking rare. Faces are marketing. Fields are income.

How to pick a main

A main is the unit that receives leftover Gems and leftover Trait Rerolls. You get one main until the plot is rich. The best units tie-breaker is: mutation first, then rarity, then cash trait, then Grade already spent (sunk cost is real — do not abandon a half-Graded A-tier for a fresh A-tier of equal rarity).

When Update 2 injects a new face that looks stronger, do not panic-sell the Graded unit. Compare fields. New is not a field.

Placement

Units only work on pads. Cursor units are inventory, not income. Move the main onto any tile that already ticked faster. Fill every other tile with rentals. The money guide is the law here; this hub will not repeat the sermon except to say: roster pages assume a full plot.

Index is not the roster

Index is a stamp book. Roster is who sits on pads tonight. You can stamp a Common and still vendor it. You can fail to stamp a mutated rare if you sell it before the Index ticks — so open the book after a luck burst. Details on index and collection.

Codes and units

Codes never spawn a named character. UPDATE2 gives Lucky Spins, Trait Rerolls, and Gems that you apply to units you already rolled. Spend them with code rewards in mind or you will Grade a rental.

  • Lucky spins — how new faces arrive.
  • Dice upgrades — how often they arrive.
  • Rebirth — whether your main survives prestige (verify on your client; cash usually does not, the Index usually does).
  • Update 2 — whether the pool just changed.

This hub will grow named pages if the developers freeze a public list. Until then, fields beat fandom. Play Anime Dice like an incremental, not like a character-action wiki.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Who is the best starter unit in Anime Dice?

Whatever highest-rarity unit you can Grade first. There is no fixed starter hero. Use best units.

Should I collect every unit?

Stamp them in the Index, yes. Keep them on pads only if they survive the unit tier list.

Do units fight each other?

No. This is an idle plot. Silhouettes are flavour. Cash is the combat.

Where do I see units I already rolled?

The Index book on the left stack. Walkthrough: index and collection.
