Anime Dice Getting Started
First-hour loop for a new Roblox plot after Update 2.
You spawn on a bright tropical plot with a die in hand and three buttons on the left. Anime Dice does not explain the economy well. This beginner guide is the missing first hour: claim codes, fill every pad, buy luck, and leave the plot in a state that earns while you sleep. If you want a labelled HUD, keep how to play open beside this page.
The game is free on Roblox, launched 15 August 2026, and currently branded Update 2. Servers hold up to nine people. Your income is still personal. Nobody is coming to place units on your pedestals.
Minute 0–10: codes and pads
- Open Shop (top left crate) and redeem UPDATE2, UPDATE1, and RELEASE. The field is at the bottom of the Codes tab. Full clicks: how to redeem.
- Roll the die. Place every unit you get, including Commons. An empty pad is a zero. The money guide is blunt about this because it is the most common new-player leak.
- Glance at cash in the lower-left HUD. If it is moving, the loop is on. If it is frozen, you missed a pad or you are still in the spawn lock.
Do not open Rebirth yet. Do not spend Trait Rerolls on the first Common with a funny face.

Minute 10–25: dice luck before vanity
Cash exists to buy dice upgrades, not to max-level a grey unit. Open the upgrade path described in dice upgrades and take the cheapest luck-facing nodes. Luck is how you escape Common hell. Levelling a Common is how you decorate Common hell.
After one or two luck nodes, spend Lucky Spins from the codes. Burst them. Park anything that looks rare, mutated, or obviously stronger than the filler around it. Official art shows pale armored “hollow-style” bodies and white-haired casters with cyan aura — treat those silhouettes as “keep and Grade,” not as licensed names.
Minute 25–40: traits, Grade, Index
Open the unit you intend to main. If its trait is obviously blank or anti-synergy, spend Trait Rerolls here, not on pads you will sell. Rules live in traits and mutations. Then spend Gems on that unit’s Grade so the cash multiplier actually matches the rarity. Grades explains why a mid-rarity with Grade beats a showcase unit on Grade 0.
Tap Index (book icon) once so you know the collection exists. Completing Index entries is a long-run bonus, not a first-hour quest. Details: index and collection.
Minute 40–60: stop or rebirth?
If pads are full, luck nodes are ticking, and cash still feels slow, you are close to the first prestige question. Read rebirth before you press the loop arrows. A rebirth that happens before the plot is “online” (full pads, one keeper, some luck) resets you into a worse first hour. A rebirth that happens after upgrades feel expensive is the intended snowball.
Use the upgrade priority tool if you cannot decide between one more dice node and the reset.
Things this game will not tell you
- Offline earnings are real. Fill pads before you log off, even if the units are ugly.
- Codes do not return after rebirth.
- The clover Lucky widget on the right is not the code box.
- Leaderboards rank plot power. There is no separate PvP tutorial because there is no lane combat.
- Scripts that promise auto-roll exist as a search category; they also risk the account. If you were heading there, read script safety first.
First-session shopping list
- All three live codes claimed.
- Zero empty pads.
- At least one luck-facing dice upgrade.
- Lucky Spins spent in a burst, not dribbled.
- Trait Rerolls reserved for one keeper.
- Gems on that keeper’s Grade.
- Discord joined from official links so the next code is not a surprise.
When that list is done, you are no longer a beginner. Switch to the unit tier list to decide who stays after the next luck spike, and to Update 2 so you know what the current client added on top of launch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What should I do first in Anime Dice?
Redeem codes, fill every pad, then buy dice luck. Trait Rerolls wait until you have a keeper.
Should I rebirth in the first hour?
Usually no. Read the rebirth guide and only reset once pads are full and upgrades feel expensive.
Do I need Roblox Premium?
No. Anime Dice is free to play. Premium is unrelated to UPDATE2 redemption.
Why is my cash not moving?
An empty pedestal or a plot that has not finished loading. Place every unit, then check how to make money.
